The import and trans-national trading of herbicides containing glyphosate were banned on Monday in Vietnam, effective immediately, a country where glyphosate herbicides have been widely used for decades. Vietnamese officials moved to ban the import of glyphosate products immediately upon learning that glyphosate causes cancer, as determined in the second of as many trials against manufacturers in U.S. courts.
